Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massage focuses on the manipulation of soft tissue to treat pain and dysfunction. This flexible massage therapy incorporates a wide variety of techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, triggerpoint therapy and neuromuscular therapy to best meet the individual’s needs.

Each appointment begins with discussing the client’s medical history and an orthopedic assessment. The therapist then develops a treatment plan designed to address a variety of conditions such as:

    • Lower back pain
    • Neck pain
    • Frozen shoulder
    • Carpal tunnel
    • Plantar fasciitis
    • Sciatica
    • Bulging discs
    • Joint arthritis
    • Sprains and strains

A typical session lasts 60 – 75 minutes. The number of sessions varies with each individual.

For further information, consult with a qualified orthopedic massage therapist who is trained to differentiate between treatable massage conditions, and the presence of serious underlying medical conditions.
