Alison's goal in treatment is to provide personalized care based on the patient's individual needs, and to assist them in achieving optimal health and function. She looks to treat the root of the dysfunction rather than just the symptoms to provide long term resolution. Alison encourages her patient's to be proactive in their healing process by educating them and customizing a home care regime that may include stretching, strengthening and remedial exercises to facilitate the recovery process.
Growing up in Victoria, she takes full advantage of living on the west coast by mountain biking, hiking, gardening and playing outdoors with her family. Alison has worked for Catalyst Sports massage at the Trans Rockies bike races, a seven day mountain bike race through the Rocky Mountains. She also works part time at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy as a clinic supervisor and teaching assistant.
