Berns has practiced Somatic Experiencing and been a member of the SE Faculty since 2008. He earned a Masters of Education from the University of Victoria in 1995. From 1995 to 2010, Berns worked in the Mental Health field. He now primarily teaches Somatic Experiencing and runs a limited private practice.
