Christine Morrison has a combined degree in physiotherapy and occupational therapy from UBC in Vancouver. Christine’s early career was in her home town of Victoria where she operated a VIHA outpatient clinic at Fairfield Health Clinic – right where PhysioPlus is now located!
Christine has post-graduate training in women’s health matters and the assessment and treatment of dancers. Christine is experienced in offering hydrotherapy programs after hip and knee replacements. For over 9 years Christine led the physiotherapy service at a 160 bed private hospital in Australia caring for post-op orthopaedic patients, acute medical and post-natal patients.
Here in Victoria Christine has worked at VIHA orthopaedic clinics and facilitated a two year study in conjunction with the orthopaedic specialists and Ministry of Health on outcomes after joint replacements.
Christine has presented education programs for arthritis, osteoporosis and post mastectomy patients
Christine is resourceful in sourcing equipment and working cooperatively to help older patients with orthopaedic and medical problems maximize their function and maintain independence.
