Jennifer Raye is a Licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Acupuncturist, Whole Food Educator and Yoga Teacher. Jennifer has completed her doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine which was a 5 year full time academically rigorous program comprised of many western medical sciences, diagnostic skills and clinical training. This included an internship at Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shen Yang, China. Jennifer has studied nutrition and food therapy in depth in addition to western herbology and aromatherapy. She maintains a private medical practise and is faculty in the Holistic Nutrition diploma program at Pacific Rim College.
As a yoga alliance certified instructor, Jennifer primarily teaches mindful yin and hatha yoga. She has completed several advanced multi-year trainings and has sat numerous retreats with prominent teachers to integrate psychology and Buddhist philosophy and practice.
In 2011, she worked internationally with the Acupuncture Relief Project at a primary health care clinic in rural Nepal. And in 2012, she founded Inner Path: Outer Action; a non-profit that aims to help those in need, especially women, find access to health care including Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Yoga and Meditation. She has volunteered with various organizations offering service, including community accupuncture at "OUR place" shelter in Victoria.
