My approach in therapy is interpersonal dynamic, but I prefer to adapt my style to suit my client. If you had success with a previous therapist or counsellor, we can build on that success. If previous therapy or counselling has not helped, we can try something new. I freely borrow from emotion-focused, cognitive, behavioural, and humanistic approaches to match your needs and personality. I also select techniques that I judge to be the most effective, guided by research evidence, better practices, and clinical theory. Virtually all of my clinical work focuses on one-to-one therapy for adult clients. I was first registered as a psychologist in British Columbia in 2000 (CPBC# 1438); working as a consultant and private practitioner. From 2010 to 2013 I was also a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (#4797). My doctorate in Clinical Psychology is from the University of Saskatchewan (accredited by both the Canadian and American Psychological Associations).
