In her practice, Maddie blends traditional Chinese medical wisdom with modern anatomical acupuncture techniques. She has a strong interest in the treatment of acute and chronic pain related to myofascial restrictions, arthritic conditions, sports injuries, pelvic misalignment, disc bulge or herniation, scoliosis, and pre/post surgical rehabilitation. In addition to acupuncture, Maddie utilizes manual Tui-na massage therapies, and adjunctive modalities of cupping, electrical stimulation, auricular acupuncture, and nutritional guidance to help the body heal faster and move better. She also offers aromatherapy to enhance treatments. Her intention is to provide effective relief for her patients, as well as to give them the confidence and tools to empower themselves to take control over their own healing path.
Maddie is dedicated to the practice of Chinese medicine and maintains the best quality of care by keeping current with on-going research and participating in specialized courses. She has pursued training in distal treatment methods, has received certification in Sports Medicine Acupuncture, and is a certified specialist with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). In addition, she was motivated to expand her knowledge of botanical medicine by completing a 10-month herbal apprenticeship program.
