Megan Walker has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2013. At All Care Chiropractic and Massage, she provides treatments that allow patients to return back to health after injury, learn to manage chronic pain, and practice self-care and relaxation. Previously, Megan completed her BA in Psychology from UVic before graduating from the 3000-hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. These experiences have informed her special interest in the psychology of health, wellness, and mindfulness. She has taken additional training though continuing education courses with the hopes of understanding the relationship between stress and how it presents in the body with physical dysfunction and chronic pain. Patients can expect to receive massage treatments that are both therapeutic and relaxing in nature, in the context of a safe, positive, and judgement-free treatment space. Megan uses a variety of techniques including Swedish massage, myofascial release techniques, and trigger point therapy. She also finds value in spending time on education and offering homecare advice as she believes it is important that patients are active participants in their healthcare journey.
