Vanessa was first educated in massage in 2007, at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy as a Spa Practitioner. She learned many different types of massage including Swedish Massage (relaxation), but she found her passion in breaking down of scar tissue, and post surgical rehabilitation. Vanessa then moved to Alberta in 2009, and worked as an RMT. She has since returned to BC and completed the RMT program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where she learned more about injury rehabilitation, and has a new interest in lymphatic drainage. Vanessa was also the first place recipient for the Student Case Study Award for her research paper involving nerve impingement. Vanessa has lived in Saanich for over 20 years and has been involved in many different community events; FIFA Women's U19 World Cup in 2002, 24 Hour Relay 2007, and the GoodLife Fitness 36th Marathon in 2014. She was also a board member of the Mount Doug Alumni Association.
